Resisting the Forces

What is right, and what is real… the two questions that consciously or unconsciously haunt our minds… We want to be right, but it’s so hard to fight what is real… we want to fight the flow of things, we take side on what is just, but still, the unjust reality wins… the law of nature wins… we somehow can’t change the reality… it’s hard… it’s very hard…

But if we can’t change it, does that mean that we should stop doing something we believe is right? Should we stop resisting the forces and just conform to the norms that are weighed down on us? Should we all act blind and just go on with the flow, rationalizing that there is harmony, but the truth, there is none? A friend told me that even if it seems that you’re not winning in fighting for what you believe is right, it doesn’t mean that you should just give up… overall change doesn’t happen overnight… it’s like a process of weathering … it takes time… even generations… so we should not stop… we should get a hold of ourselves and be stronger than ever… we should not lose hope… because, we can make changes… we can! So let us believe in
ourselves! Fight for what we believe is right!

My Own Monster

Sadness in my eyes

Emptiness fills my heart

Beyond there lies

Nothing but dry land

Work, toil, my mind say

Soon there’ll be a reward to take

I do this with passion

For this is my only pride

But emptiness engulfs me

As I sleep on bed at night

Questions haunt me endlessly

But answers far from my sight

Where is everybody, where are
they

Nobody’s answering, nobody’s
there

I cry tears in my bed, and fell
asleep

And when I wake up, I’m still the
same

Empty to face the world

With a smile as empty as I ought
to be

Help me Lord for I am lost

There’s nothing here, but an
endless sea

Where I see myself, swimming,
completely tired

With nothing, but a soul drowning in its own tears

Lessons sa buhay!

1. Don’t be pressured by the people,
or by a trend, or by a current flow of events… be true to yourself… also remember that sometimes emotions can lead people astray, so use your mind… follow your heart but let your mind correct it… right now, I do not know pero I’ll say that I should take my time… don’t hurry things up, everything will be alright in God’s time

2. Enjoy life! And make the best out of it… do not spend your time worrying because you’re gonna waste a lot of time with this habit…

3. It’s very unpractical of you to sink yourself in a problem you’ve created, in a fear of something less of a value and which is more likely not to happen… and if in case it will happen, it’s not even worth thinking of… so get a hold of yourself… don’t let the pain of one season ruin all the other seasons in your life… don’t let one person get the hold of you and ruin the life that God
has given to you

4. We must be filled with ambition. Ambition is a wonderful thing; it is the internal engine that pushes one to keep learning and growing despite obstacles and setbacks. Life would be terribly dry without ambition, much like a desert yearning for but never knowing rain. Ambition enables you to set goals and directions at particular stages of life. It is healthy for the mind and soul. But unguarded, ambition can blind you like the shimmering sun on a sweltry summer day.

5. It is not right to neglect your
emotions

6. Delays are not denials… always remember that… maybe it’s not yet the time

7. Time flies fast… never spend most of your time worrying… you only have one life

8. It’s never an insult to be called by what somebody think is a bad name, it just shows you how poor that person

9. Life is not limited within the walls of any institution… there is life outside of it… and calls for help and service…

10. One thing I learned is that no matter how beautiful a person is… if she is ugly inside, then she’s ugly

11. Happiness is not merely the absence of problems, but the sense of fulfillment from it that you have learned something from it

Writing My Mind

It’s a good thing, that pens and papers were discovered. For if it weren’t for it, everything will be very traumatic. Yeah, you heard me right… traumatic! In what ways? In many ways! Writing one’s own mind is a form of release, it makes your mind be more organized, and it enables you to express what you have inside. You don’t need someone to recognize your writings. You only need
to write it down and surprisingly, you are able to get in tune with yourself. You’ll be able to know yourself more, and that fact alone is an achievement! Sometimes, we all have to deal with lots of things and we seem to be overwhelmed by our feelings, our emotions, and sometimes it gets a little bit confusing and we don’t know what we really really feel, and that sucks! But at least, in the form of writing, I am writing what I am feeling and I am releasing something frustrating. Days will pass by, and as I will read this in the future, and everything that I wrote, I will be thankful that I have written all these things, every words I had put into it, for it will be of
great use. And I will realize in the future, that I am really thankful for the fact that I simply wrote what I have written, for that fact alone… And I will be thankful for the pens and papers, the very basic materials in writing and has now evolved into many forms like computers, laptops, palmtops etc. Because of these things, one is able to express something that seems to be
inexpressible… but yet… expressible…
